It's almost as if SCOTUS was correct by sending this back to the states to decide.

While I think the SC restriction of 6 weeks (heartbeat), with exceptions for rape/incest/health, seems to be an ideal restriction, I'd imagine they'll shift it to 10 weeks to give "more time" per the majority's reasoning.

Six weeks is a ridiculous timeframe.

First of all, a significant number of women childbearing persons would not even realize that they're pregnant. Miss a menstrual period for 2 weeks? Not necessarily a surefire thing that it's a pregnancy.

Secondly, there's probably a number of pregnancies that will be missed because the fetal heartbeat is undetectable (ever do an ultrasound on a 350 lb woman childbearing person?).

I like @Klaus 's idea. Set it at 12 weeks and make everyone equally unhappy.

It’s time to start talking about how some of these states are going to improve their adoption process, develop better prenatal and postnatal care and assistance for the poor, and accept that the price of more restrictive abortion laws is higher social services and welfare costs.

Would also help to place a higher emphasis on contraception and child support.

Relying on this Right has always seemed kind of stupid to me. It just doesn't make sense.

In my mind, the murderer's privacy has never overruled the victims right to life. Why would this just apply to murdering a baby, why not apply it to any murder?

What about the shoplifter's or horse thief's right to privacy?

If you want to justify abortion, find some other reason.
