Not doing much; mostly reading and sleeping. Still not feeling very well. Not deathly sick, but bleah. Proud to be the TNCR Sloth.

Remember sloths are cute. We're all sloth-ey these days but only some of us are cute.

Ran 10k (6 miles) but really miss the gym as I liked to do weights a couple of times a week. I was working up to 20x225lbs - though on a Smith machine so a bit of a cheat. Also, at my age, I can't bring weights fully to my chest - even with an empty bar. I don't have flexibility I had back in the day. With a 2 month layoff, I'll need to be gentle. At home, I'm doing more stretching and core - but not enough.

A 10k run is pretty tough. At what speed do you run?

I'm mad at myself. I got blisters, so I did have to stop between sets. But, this is what I did today. About 10-15 sets; basically 30 minutes of jump-rope.
Interestingly, the spots in between the blue lines are not me working out; I was just walking around, trying to walk off my blisters.
FWIW, I run about 5-6 miles, too, when I do. But I'm very slow. 11-12 minute miles. More of a jog, I guess. I'm just not fast anymore.

Yes, I think it's quite nice to go for a ride in the middle of a work day, when the weather is nice.
What kind of terrain do you have around your place?
Care to share some photos of your ride? I'll post some of mine after a little cleaning session

There's a nice ride around a lake which I do fairly frequently - it's not particularly hilly. I'll see if I can take some photos next time, It's lovely on a nice day, but they're forecasting rain tomorrow.

@Aqua-Letifer nice stats!!! Does your dad still run 10 miles everyday? FWIW I’ve also shifted to a jog pace.

And no, unfortunately he can't. He's had a series of surgeries on his neck. But he still does 3 at the gym and still refs soccer games down in FL.

My bike. I have a second set of wheels with gravel tires.
It's not easy to find decent road bikes for kids. This is what I came up with.
Son #2s bike. Bought it used for little money. 26 inch wheels. Ultegra 3x9 groupset.
Daughter with her bike on a trip we made today. 24 inch wheels. 1x9 Microshift groupset.
It looks tiny but today her max speed was over 50 km/h. -

@Klaus Very cool! What's hanging from your daughter's shoe?
Proof that modern shoe fasteners are not always superior to the old-fashioned shoelace tie.

Hey George, that looks like a very decent walk you do every day! Nice! What do you use for the stats?

I try to do it thrice weekly. Jon does more walks, but not as far, I think.

What activity was that, Aqua?
What’s your max heart rate?
I made a 60km road bike trip in excellent weather today.

Envious!
Just skippin' rope. My max (according to my FitBit, anyway) is 165. Usually by the end of each set I'm at 160+.

165?
Wouldn’t that be extraordinary low for your age? I thought it’s usually around 220-age.
