I think she's partially right, but not wholly. I was ready to marry several years before I did. You have to be really careful who you marry, though - they never go home anymore.

I think in general she is right. Men have much more control over timing than women do.

Somewhat related, my younger brother was asking about qualities in a wife. I boiled it down to three very important traits: Trustworthiness, sense of humor, and patience.
