                        Two random comments.

                        1. As someone born in the early 80s, my first exposure to Elvis was John Stamos 's character on Full House being obsessed with and impersonating Elvis. So to me, Elvis was an overly dramatic stage-y type singer. Whereas now I'll hear a song by Elvis and think.... wow, what a smooth voice at times. So my comment is, I wonder what it would've been like to first hear Elvis music come over the airways and how different it must've been for listeners.

                        2. Years ago I had a debate with a friend that I thought a singer like Ray Charles was better than someone like Brian McKnight (really good R&B). Sure, Brian sings "better" but I always felt Ray's emotion more in his singing.
