Why I keep the lid down...

Shouldn’t this be in the Dark and Inappropriate Thread?
Seriously? I am astounded that cats would want on top of the strings. I can totally understand them being on the sides of the music desk or on the lid if it’s closed, but on those thin and tight steel strings? Go figure…

Same here. The cats love the piano.
Mik and everyone, what do they love? Is it the height, or like being in a cave, or feeling like they are hidden in black camouflage?
I've been thinking about getting a big indoor cat, but have never had a totally indoor cat or dog. Not sure I can imagine all the downsides, but I've always liked cats, especially those with a "cool" personality. -

Boris was there for only long enough for me to snap the photo. He didn't "hang out" at all.
Maggie likes to sleep on the lid, however.

@Doctor-Phibes
Yeah, but being annoying can be "cool" up to a certain point.
Then, it's a backhand to helicoptering the cat across the room. (just kidding) -

I'd rather she be entranced by the music, but I'll take whatever audience I can get.
