    -13F here at 7am. Windchill is -43F.

LOL yup, my dryer vent shattered. RIP.

I also noticed a fresh air intake duct in my furnace room has frost on the outside. Never seen that before!

<I’m such a mom ..going to bed worrying all that ..> 89th, you’ve learned about snow, critters & whatever else could plug up those intakes, I’m sure, right?

Oh yes, the intake isn't blocked, it's just pulling in uber cold air and when it gets mixed (exchanged) with the warm interior air, it's making the metal duct frosty on the outside, almost like super condensation.

I’m about ready to get a gun. On our street, in this minus-fvck-40 weather, someone was out last night stealing block heater extension cords. We’re down one.

I can send a used one down to you. There are plenty of them littering the roads up here, especially on week day mornings when folks forget to unplug the car before heading to work at -35 in the morning.

Thanks, I had a back-up, but my god. This city has gone to shit. I was outside in the lineup for bloodwork this morning and the guy behind me tells me his neighbor got his catalytic converter cut off in minus-fvck-40 Monday. Like who does this in weather like this?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Guy I used to work with used to say, "It's colder than a nun's prunk."

Never asked him what a "prunk" was, but I could've guessed.
