I enjoyed your sofa story. The nostalgia with which your wife holds the old couch comes through. May you soon find a spiritual successor.

Perhaps find a custom furniture shop or craftsman to make you a bespoke sofa?

That's kind of what I'm looking for as my spouse wants to be heavily involved - and make certain it is to spec - i.e. no more than 19" in heath - no greater depth than 22".

Do you have a pic of your beloved pink striped couch?

Yes, I should like to see it as well. MFR has the same requirements as she too is petite. Trying to find a sofa that fits us both is a bit of a unicorn hunt.

Start with the sofa, not the color.

Sherill makes a sofa for petite people, but no sleeper sofa. Maybe do some serious furniture store looking, until you find what you want?

Sherrill is a very useful line. We have had several pieces. Their upholstered furniture is very high quality.

The only bit of helpful (?) advice I can give you is that I bought a floor lamp from Wayfair six or so years ago, and it has been trouble free, FWIW.

                  Otherwise, I love your story-telling ability. 🙂

I'm only here to say good job on the thread title.

                    Please love yourself.

I purchase things on wayfair when I don’t care too much about quality. It’s all kinda cheap but serviceable. Sounds like you’re looking for some magic combination that you might be as likely to find at a discount place as at a designer shop.

How hard is it to return a sofa from Wayfair?

                        I would go for bespoke.

Not that anyone may remember this post, but I finally found a photo of the holy grail crappy couch that my spouse loved more than any other item in our home. Upon my deathbed, when asked if I have any regrets - trying to replace this sofa will come to mind.

I'm trying to remember...what's there now?

                              I mean, it's a sofa, but I don't remember it.

Oh, and that sofa looks pretty comfy. Your spouse is right (of course).

Thought I found a replacement but it’s sold. Still, might offer a clue?
