Bohemian "Cream Sausage" - a mild sausage simmered in beer for about an hour, and then browned in a skillet. Mated with Crash Hot Potatoes, Sauerkraut (with bacon, of course), Dijon mustard, steamed broccoli.

    And (cheap) Scotch.

"Now look here, you Baltic gas passer... " - Mik, 6/14/08

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

@Jolly said in It's Friday night. What's for dinner?:

Chicken & dumplings, with fresh dixie lee peas.

Those would be lee peas, Jolly. Just plain lee peas.

@Mik Oof - that looks fantastic, but my wife doesn't like olives. It's an issue in our relationship. We're doing tandoori chicken tonight.

My line was ‘I guess Chick peas is taken.’

Chicken thighs with lemon, garlic and olives. Here's a better view. Castelvetrano olives are the best.

It's a pretty healthy dish overall. No dairy fat, and I poured the chicken fat off after crisping the thighs skin down, so it only has a little olive oil otherwise.

Yeah. The more you compromise with it, the more of the magic is lost, but the more (and more reliable) the income. The less you compromise, the more fun it is, but the risk skyrockets. Such is my experience anyway.
