Killing everybody is wrong. Trump is right about that and Bolton is wrong about that.

For a New Yorker he speaks quite convincing Frontier Gibberish.

I understood what he said.

I did too. You cannot go four years without at least attempting to figure out how someone communicates, simply expecting them to conform to the normal bullshit speak in DC.

@Jolly said in Trump clarifies his platform:
I understood what he said.
Go ahead and explain what you think he said, @Jolly.
Same for you, @Mik.
I will be surprised if @Jolly and @Mik can articulate the same understanding of what they think Trump said.
I suspect this is just a case of you think you understood what he said but then when you try to articulate that supposed understanding, you will find that two of you cannot agree what you understood he said. -

Trump took a while to get to his priorities but he was pretty clear. Don't drop bombs on people. Don't kill people (presuming they aren't killed by the bomb itself).

It seems like a low bar for a platform but if successful he’d be the first president in a century to pull it off.

- Does "don't drop bomb on people/Don't kill people" qualify as a priority? If so, how is that different from his first term's priorities? (Has "don't bump people/don't kill people" not been a priority in his first term?)
- How high a "priority" is it among his "priorities"? Do you think you know?
- Why does he take that long to get to his "priorities"? Could it be because of dementia?

If you read what he says, it's 'don't drop bombs on everybody', not 'don't drop bombs on anybody'. Dropping bombs on everybody is pretty stupid, admittedly. It could perhaps be more accurately parsed as 'Drop bombs on everybody with an even bushier moustache than John Bolton', which pretty much means bombing Iraq, and some 1980's porn stars.

Not that Donald Trump knows any porn stars. That's never been proven, and is completely false.

I think Mik and I can agree to you are a socially inept dick. Shucks, I think you might agree, too.
Now having agreed on that, let us sally forth. Trump said two things:
- He did not know Washington very well.
- By not knowing the town well, he made some mistakes in not doing some things, taking some bad advice and hiring some of the wrong people, such as Bolton.

Yeah because until you get to know DC there’s no way of knowing Bolton has always been a war monger.
Pretty much everyone here knew it. I guess we’re old DC hands.

No, you think Bolton is a war monger. Among certain conservative elements of the GOP, probably not.
Depends on whose hiring advice you are taking...One thing that is not debatable, are Bolton's foreign affairs chops. You may not agree with his perspective, but he ain't dumb on that subject.

I knew exactly what John Bolton was, and I'm a fucking drunk Briton who admittedly isn't that smart.
How did all American Stable Genius Donald Trump not figure it out quicker than this drunken moron?

I have to say, I'd rather be a drunken Brit than a Teetotal Yank any fucking day of the week.
We gave the world Keith Richards. You supplied Donny Fucking Osmond. And yes, fuck you.

If not for Churchill’s swooning of Roosevelt you might have said that in German.
