Indiana Jones: Time to let it die?

@Aqua-Letifer said in Time to let it die?:
@George-K said in Time to let it die?:
I'd never heard of Kennedy until looking into this story.
Seriously? She's a corporate mole who's had her hands on fucking everything.
I lead a very sheltered life.

This is one of those things where that's been to your advantage.

It's not like the 3rd movie (The Last Crusade) had a perfect "ending" movie title, or a perfect "ending" riding into the sunset, or anything. Listen, I'll watch this eventually, they are fun movies, but movies need to know when to stop making sequels.
The ticker tape parade clips of the trailer look poorly done. Like, rough CGI (both placement of characters, as well as Indy's face), which is disappointing.

They had a good storyline to continue with Shia LeBeouf. Communists as antagonists instead of Nazis, etc.
Lots of world events in the fifties, sixties and seventies.

It's not really Indy without Harrison Ford.
Maybe just drop the IP.

That's an arguable point. Thought they did a decent job with the tv series, considering the budget. Of course, that was Indy in his youth.
In the MCU, the character is the star, not the person playing him. Is Indiana Jones a character that can't be separated from Ford?

The commercial actually looks decent. The reviews from test audiences looks atrocious.

I’m reminded of S3 of Picard.
Still wondering if I should bother with season 2.

Where did you see those? I'm curious.

Apparently Disney and the director dispute that there were test screenings…
But https://cosmicbook.news/indiana-jones-5-worse-thought-test-screenings
Supposedly John Williams said something to the effect that they filmed a new ending…

@LuFins-Dad wow,
"Overall, 2/10. I’d rather watch Crystal Skull 50 times than sit through this atrocity again."
