We've reached a new peak of new cases

The vast majority of the people I see out and about without masks are 20 somethings of all races, middle aged African American women, and Hispanics of all ages and sex. It’s not exactly Trump’s demo so I’m not sure how much he has to do with it.

In my neck of the woods, it's all Trump's demo. But the groups you mentioned aren't at all present, so there's that.

We extended Phase 2 another 28 days. No surprise, as people are absolutely non-compliant.
That ain't Trump's fault. It ain't John Bell Edwards' fault, either. No politician can fix stupid.

Trump’s refusal to talk about masks rationally is the final nail in his election coffin. He runs the risk of an electoral disaster.

I thought he was supposed to be a germaphobe?

If there is one guy in this country whose health is not effected by a mask it is him.
Everyone who gets near him is tested. He is probably tested daily.
If he wore one it would be a joke, a stage prop, a lie.
He would be ridiculed by all sides.
-
It's not just the mask. He sends out mixed messages on a regular basis. His advisors are saying one thing, the next minute he's Tweeting 'Free Minneapolis'.
To provide leadership in this type of crisis, you need to provide a very clear message, and you need to sound as though you take it seriously, not fuck around making stupid jokes. This is the defining event of his Presidency. It's not his fault, and he clearly didn't want it be this way, but he needed to behave like a serious person, and clearly echo the advice of the experts, rather than undermine them.
Oh yeah - holding a big rally in the middle of a pandemic is just fucking stupid.
No, the media has not been fair to him at all. But he's also made it easy for them.
I still think he'll win in November, incidentally.
-
Hope so.
I'd like to see another 200 judges.

Yeah, Woodstock was a pretty dumb idea.
-
Seeing Hendrix play live might just be worth the risk. Seeing Trump, not so much.
YMMV, obviously.

So do I.

That is the truth. Damned if he does or does not.

It's not a zero sum game. Joe Biden going senile doesn't make Trump any smarter.
-
I have looked for something like proof that Biden is demented or senile, and not finding any. I wasn't unduly bothered by this contrariety, since we all know that if idealogues don't have proof of something they need to believe, they just make stuff up and they're good to go. But I finally found it! Yes! Definitive proof that Joe Biden is senile!
Here it is: "If you have encountered dementia, you know Biden has it." Whew! If that isn't proof, I don't know what is!
And the fact that I found this in a Japanese publication has nothing to do with it.
Okay, snark aside, does anyone know of substantive proof of Biden's mental incapacity? Is there a formal diagnosis somewhere? Or a clinician's report? Something? Or will the weight of unfounded repetition do the job, do you think?
(And NO, I'm not writing this in support of Biden.)
