Fired for being white

So… Would you reapply?

I hope so.
When my former group lost their position at the hospital, it was simply a non-renewal of a contract which had been extended several times. Finally they said, "We're going with another outfit. Bye." Nothing could be done.

I wonder if he has a legal case, though I doubt it - he wasn't "fired." They simply didn't renew his contract.

Sadly, I think you're right. They could've handled this differently but decided to virtue signal. It's a shame because whoever wins the next contract will have a proverbial asterisk next to their name/reputation, and it further reduces motivation to perform well if you're white knowing what might happen regardless.

Right, but the explicit racial element here makes it different. I think where it might get dicey is that three people voted against him, it's not clear to me whether race-incriminating statements from one is enough.
