I watched the game in the bar at the neighborhood golf course, half owned by Tyler Adams the US team captain.

The trying goal was a let down, but at the end of the game the announcer said Tyler was the best US player. That made the crowd, about 10-15 neighbors, happy.

Wales came on at the end and could have won the game, but the US team dominated most of the game and with a little luck should have done better.

FIFA threatened to yellow card anyone wearing the armband.

Seems like athletes have a big enough platform to spread their political views without using the field to do it. They’re being paid to play a role in a show, after all.

Just watched highlights. Really great goals (especially the 2nd one) by Saudi. Their goal keeper and defense played great too. Well deserved. Argentina had so many offsides goals called back!
