I see his daughter Ivanka has announced she will not be involved this time around. Want to spend time with her kids, etc... not in politics.

Don't you love the constant "insurrection" bullshit. It's just another Leftist attempt to own the language.
Riot, yes. Insurrection? Don't make me laugh...

Eh semantics. An insurrection is "a violent uprising against an authority or government" which absolutely happened that day, albeit on a small scale and by a percentage of protesters.
Maybe they should say "Trump fomented a mini-insurrection that failed, because Trump is a loser, many people have told me, yuge loser. Bigly." That would be a fairer headline.

There are over 400,000,000 guns in the U.S. Tell me how many were used in the Capitol "insurrection"?
One. By the guy who shot an unarmed protester.

I'd have the same reaction I do now, would you?

No, I do try to be fair.
You've swallowed the MSM line hook and sinker. Once you do that, you're like any other caught fish. It's just a matter of how they play you, until they land you in the boat.

Stephen Schwarzman — chairman, CEO and co-founder of private-equity giant Blackstone — says in a statement to Axios that he's defecting from former President Trump for the 2024 presidential race.
Driving the news: "America does better when its leaders are rooted in today and tomorrow, not today and yesterday," Schwarzman says.
"It is time for the Republican Party to turn to a new generation of leaders and I intend to support one of them in the presidential primaries."
Why it matters: This is a major defection by a GOP megadonor who was close to Trump — very engaged with him on trade issues — and had real pull in the Trump White House. The big picture: It's the second GOP megadonor to come out against Trump in two weeks.
Ken Griffin — the billionaire founder of the Citadel hedge fund, who had praised Trump policies — endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last week.
Griffin, who moved Citadel's headquarters to Miami this year, told Bloomberg yesterday that Trump is a "three-time loser."
Between the lines: Two of the country's largest and most influential Republican donors are looking for a next-generation candidate.Trump doesn't need the money. But the statements by Schwarzman and Griffin are likely to give cover and backbone to some Republican elected officials to move on.

I think he's got $100M in his campaign warchest, so he doesn't need the big donors, as much as he needs the continued support of the small donors.
