Trump vs. DeSantis

Well, there’s Donald, himself…
Joking aside? They are wrong. There ARE some that wouldn’t vote for DeSantis. I bet there are more than a few that would just stay home.

I think you are right. But we have to face that eventually.
I don’t disagree, but Romney and McCain brought in 60,000,000 votes each. Donald brought in 74,000,000 in 2020 and it still wasn’t enough. Biden came in at 80,000,000. What’s the threshold for a Republican victory in a non-Trump Election? Can DeSantis top 80,000,000 if he needs to? 70,000,000? These are questions that do need to be asked.
-
What is it with Trump that attracts these people?
I don’t understand why somebody who calls themself conservative wouldn’t vote for DeSantis but would vote for Trump.

Does anyone think Trump would back off and shut down criticism of a Republican candidate for the Presidency that didn't have the "Trump" name? I think he'd criticize any mistakes made by DeSantis and then after the defeat note that he'd have won if he'd been enabled to run.

I dreamed that I was working for Trump last night and he liked what I did so much that he had me set up a cocaine distribution network for him that isolated he and I from legal challenges.
It could happen. The cocaine, okay, but working for Trump? Never.

George Conway doesn't think DeSantis will run. he makes some good points.

@Horace said in Trump vs. DeSantis:
It'll play perfectly well for DeSantis to take the high road throughout any of Trump's mud slinging. With the added benefit that even direct hits by Trump will be ignored.
If I was deSantis, I'd definitely run. Trump is just going to dig himself in deeper and deeper with increasingly childish outbursts. He won the election for Biden - maybe he can repeat the achievement for DeSantis.
-
He'll run. As will many others.
I mean, you got a guy who barely eked out a victory against the most disliked woman in America, then lost elections in 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Even his candidates that won did horribly, relatively speaking. JD Vance won by 6 pts, while Governor DeWine won by 25pts on the same ticket. Portman won that same seat by 21pts in his last election.
I would think a lot of GOP potential candidates would feel obliged to run simply because they're tired of all the losing.
