EVs are exploding all over Florida

Apparently the batteries don’t like water. Who woulda thunk it?

I was reading something also related to cars in Florida - they were saying that you have to be careful buying a use car in the future and have to make sure it has not been in a flood in Florida.

Yes, it has been that way forever.
It applies to Florida airplanes too.
It's not just because of the hurricanes, the salt air makes a mess out of metal. It used to be a lot worse. I remember cars in Boston getting destroyed by salt used on roads in winter. The cars do better now, but salt air still hurts.

Old stuff.
Anytime you have major flooding events, beware of used cars for moths afterwards. The electrical problems can be intermittent and drive you nuts.
