Supply Line - What’s the longest you’ve had to wait

The longest for me was 6 months for the patio doors we were promised in 2, but that’s nowhere near as bad as some of our customer back orders. There’s a few that have waited over a year now for a normal stock item.

What’s your longest wait?

Chair purchased in November delivered in April.

There were items I didn’t buy because they were saying 6-7 months

MIL canceled an order for a love seat after about 9 months.

I just received a shipment from China I ordered in March of 2021.

There is a furniture shop down here whose main marketing gimmick is that they sell only what they can ship that day.

Not me, but a neighbor ordered a Toyota Sienna (minivan) nearly a year ago and has been waiting. We actually ordered a Honda Odyssey in early September, it should arrive just after Halloween.

We were fortunate when we bought Karla her Pilot last year. The trim and the color she wanted was arriving 4 days after we pulled the trigger.

The Honda Odyssey is a fine choice for a family with kids. Take reasonable care of it and it should last ‘til your kids go to college.

Thanks! The minivan has so many cool features these days, and media screens. Even a "live cam" you can view the back seat (from the front dashboard) if you want to see what your kid is up to. "Back in the day" (I grew up with minivans) we had magnetic chess to stay entertained, or if you wanted to go crazy... look out the window and play the license plate ABC game.
