I was there. Didn't you see me?

Are you the guy who exposed himself to her coffin?

      I was only joking

I hadn't watched any of it, but this afternoon I turned it on just as they arrived at Windsor. I had spent most of a year in that area so it caught my attention, I watched for about an hour until the casket disappeared below the floor in St. George's Chapel.

My wife, daughter and sister were in that chapel on the day it burned in 1992. I was driving on the M4, on my way to meet them for lunch. I saw the smoke from a couple miles away and assumed it was an IRA bomb. I was worried, but after a while I found them, they were fine.

Anyway, the Chapel was a familiar place so I watched for a while. It was a very nice service.

@LuFins-Dad Earlier. I’m MST. I didn’t do that for Prince Philip or Diana.

I get that and respect that! Do you think that 80% of your neighbors did the same?

I had it on all morning, and watched as I came and went.

No, forgot it was on. I may watch the highlights on youtube later today. With kids, I often forget NFL football is on, too.

I am a little curious about how many people in India watched it?

The one thing that helped for viewing numbers is the timing. For the largest groups of the world population, it was on at a reasonable time.

Does it really matter what the viewing numbers are?

This isn't new, this is everything on television. Go to any broadcast or cable station and talk to them about buying an ad spot. They'll boast exposure numbers in anywhere between 6 or 8 digits. But what they don't tell you, which everyone should already know, is that these numbers are almost exclusively in bars, doctor's offices, the tech sections of Wal-Marts, etc., etc. So congratulations, you've purchased ad space for the most checked out and inattentive "audience" imaginable and you wasted your money.

Everyone knows viewership numbers mean nothing.

                        Please love yourself.

No, it doesn’t matter, but neither does most of the things we natter on about… And yes, there is a difference between a press release showing NFL Viewership is up 10% this year vs. a breathless journalist stating that 70% of the world’s population and 90% of the total possible viewing public is watching this moment live… It’s utter bull.

How do they get viewership numbers?
Are "they" able to now ping TV sets, or is it still done by calling people and asking what they're watching?

Maybe the methods are secret and proprietary?

I watched more of the funeral last night via YouTube. Just extraordinary in all respects, a most beautiful tribute to hereditary privilege in a country where she set the standard for behavior.
It is indeed sad for everyone, as we lose contact with those who were there, in WWII and before, and the wisdom garnered.

Since people have been talking about little else for quite some time, at least at some point, I'd guess the viewing figures were pretty high.

I bet Trump is pissed. He might fake his own death just to get back some attention.

Since people have been talking about little else for quite some time, at least at some point, I'd guess the viewing figures were pretty high.

I bet Trump is pissed. He might fake his own death just to get back some attention.

Then on the third day after stage and reappear in a return from the grave rally for all to see and marvel.

Which no one would attend, being busy watching YouTube reruns of the Queen's funeral.
