Interesting that Mercedes, after developing a hydrogen fuel cell car for over 30 years, and a few other car markers gave up on Hydrogen two years ago due to "manufacturing costs being double that of an equivalent battery-electric vehicle".

Mercedes has been a huge disappointment in F1 this year.
They do have an all electric S class that has a 1200km range. Completely financially out of reach of the common human.
I have always liked the idea of a Hydrogen Fuel Cell car ever since I read about Mercedes research and development of them back in the 1990s.

I wouldn't go quite that far. They're third after winning 8 championships in a row. (Cue German accent - They'll be back....)

I am sure they will be back but they have yet to win a race this year. They just don't have the straightaway speed of Red Bull and Ferrari.
