Sore/ache in the morning
-
The last 3 mornings (starting August 29) I woke up and was pretty sore or achy, not sure which one. Probably more sore. The best way I can describe it is I mainly felt it in my arms, forearms, and hands/knuckles...and a bit on other parts of the body, legs, etc. The best equivalent is it felt like I had lifted weights for the first time in a year (I hadn't). That kind of sore feeling. Otherwise I feel fine, no headache, no fever, no...anything... just sore.
I am used to waking up often with a stiff neck after sleeping in a weird position or just because of #parenting movements with the kids throughout the day. This is different.
I figured maybe I was dehydrated so I've been drinking water more than usual over the last few days (and also NOT drinking beer at night!), but still... we'll see tomorrow morning. Another example is I'm a knuckle-cracker (sorry, always have been) and when I get up and try to crack my knuckles, it's very sore/achy when I try.
Just weird. I'm sure if I googled it would tell me I have myositis or something. I hope this goes away soon or maybe is just a variation of a "cold" that my body is fighting with no other symptoms.
This post was much longer than it needed to be, sorry.

Sounds like a virus of some sort. Obviously, I know as much about medicine as I do about everything else, so take that for what it's worth.
Having said, that's pretty much what a doctor told me one time when I passed out unexpectedly, except he didn't add the 'take that for what it's worth'.

Yup. Sudden onset of generalized myalgias with no obvious cause.

It’s probably a curse of some sort, likely Voodoo in origin. Have you pissed off the wife lately?

"Honey, do you feel like someone is stabbing you with a voodoo needle?
"No, I'm fine."
"How about now?"

Now excuse me while I put on my knee brace to walk the dog.

A virus? Maybe. The only thing I can think of is the day before it started I did use a (cleaned but in storage for many months) water bottle I hadn't used in a while before going on a run. Maybe it was contaminated?
This morning it was marginally better, so maybe it's going away.
@Mik it does go away a little bit as I move around, but is still there by the evening as I get tired.
@LuFins-Dad yeah...getting older, I really need to step up my stretching and health game.
