This thread is highly amusing.

I think I also want a nice toaster
Maybe I should open a new bank account or something. Didn’t they always give toasters at banks?

@George-K A report!
Toast fail. I'm sure it could work if I tried and tuned the process, but in general it took longer than a normal toaster and dried the (rye) bread out. Ugh. Trying to salvage it with Kerrygold butter and some jelly.
If you want good toast, get... a toaster.

I can bring a lot more passion to kitchen stuff than politics.
By the way, my emojis disappeared. What's up with that?

Klaus decided that only cool people get to use emojis.

@George-K I have been using the ERO-2008SC since mid-2018. Check it out, I think it can do most of the things you say you want your toaster oven to do. Good luck.

Ax, I went searching for that toaster oven and ended up ordering this one.
It makes excellent toast. We are doing a rotisserie chicken in it tonight for dinner.

The 6.1 lb whole chicken took less than 2 hours and was tender, juicy and delicious, with a perfectly crisp skin.
We didn't do the rotisserie because the manual advised against anything weighing over 5 lbs. Just baked it in the roasting pan.

We used to be able to get 8 lb chickens from the farmer who raises other grassfed livestock. Now they're 4 lbs or less. I miss those big hens. It must not have been enough profit margin for those last few pounds.
