My first time censored on social media

George posted a cigarette-related Dad joke in FB. I commented that it was a “Total fag joke”.

FB automated system banned it as “hate speech”. But the automated tool gave me a chance to protest.

And a human (presumably) reversed the ban in a few hours.

I wasn’t expecting that. Especially since all the comments were more puns. So even though I meant ‘fag’ as in cigarette it was only punny due to the reference to the verboten usage.

Go figure.

I wonder how they perform the "human" review. Do they employ thousands of workers (probably in a foreign country), or can you sign up to perform hourly work for facebook as a side gig? Just curious.

Also, wait until Netflix is dropped from FANG.
