My friend has a kid in a Loudon County elementary school. Of course the crayons they hand out are these. I wonder if the box of supplies also had white-out?

Early on, Bill Cosby did a riff on what he as a little boy was supposed to make of the phrase "flesh colored crayon".

Correction. It wasn't crayon, it was "band-aid".

                  From the innernet

When did Crayola discontinue flesh color?
The Crayola Crayon color name flesh was changed to peach in 1962. Although flesh was included in the original box of 64 Crayola Crayons, we felt it would be insensitive to include it in the commemorative box. Since the crayon color remains unchanged, we felt we were remaining true to history.

That’s actually earlier than I would have guessed. If asked I would have said they discontinued the name in the early 70s.

I bought the colors of the world skin tone colored pencils. As an artist, it’s actually kind of nice to have all those colors.
