    So sad.

You have a way of telling a story that adds poignancy to it all.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

        Indeed. A worthy eulogy.

        Please love yourself.

You know, it's funny. I don't know Norm's family. I'm not sure exactly where he lives. He was just one of those constants in life, always there, always working the same job at the same place. I don't even know his last name and you could have held a gun to his head and he couldn't have told you my first name.

But we'd interacted so much in life, we'd instantly recognize each other. I don't know that it's so much a loss, as a void. Just another immutable constant that suddenly changed.

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Sorry to hear, and a beautiful tribute. Folks like Norm make the world a better place.

That's called being a fixture in the community. Few people rise to that level of constancy in the landscape of a town, and it's usually someone who has that congenial nature that you described.

God bless Norm and his family. He will be missed.

Jolly - sounds like a good guy - and sorry for your loss. Hate when the good ones get called away.
