That employee had multiple arrests for aggravated assault in 2013, 2016, and 2019. Good background check, Wendy's.

I'm thinking keep him away from food service.
Of course, if his story got around it might cut down on complaints about the food

It does bring to light a current problem...For the lower paying jobs, a combination of benefit levels for not working vs. rising wages for workers with few skills have places like fast food and grocery stores, etc., in a bind for affordable labor.
What's the answer? Raise wages? Hire more permanent employees with bennies? Hire more teenagers (assuming they would work)?

Hmmm, I am not sure if this should have disqualify him from a job. The alternative is him not having any job. Yes, this guy was a bad character, but if he did his sentence, then he should be able to work.

One way to look at it is, it was obviously a bad choice to hire him because, well, look at what he did.
Another would be, well, if he was unhireable then he definitely would have robbed somebody. At least with a job, he had a chance at not being a danger to others.
Can't do much about crazy, but I think it's a bad idea generally to put people into a situation in which they have nothing left to lose.
