DC’s already experienced this with the Snyder cut of Justice League. A movie that was so horrible that DC brought in the guy that did The Avengers to reshoot half the movie. The result was meh, but far better than the Snyder movie. But fandom insisted they wanted to see it badly enough that WB released it. It’s crap, but has grossed a lot of money for them.

There's dozens (maybe 50?) of DC comic and Marvel comic movies out there that I would like to see some day. They all seem to be interrelated somehow and I'm of a weird sequential mind that I want to see them in order, but just don't have the time with young kids, one day.

That being said, I thought they were on to a nice Batgirl character/story with the 3rd Batman (Dark Knight Rises) with Anne Hathaway, not sure why that didn't go anywhere, maybe because Christopher Nolan didn't pursue?

(Never mind, I realize she was a version of Catwoman in that film)

I just wonder when the current obsession with comic book movies will dissipate?

Even if it's later this afternoon, it's gone on for far too long.

Thinking about which ones I've seen:

            Superman 1 & 2.
            Batman (1989)
            Batman Returns
            The Dark Knight
            The Dark Knight Rises
            Iron Man
            Watchmen

That's about it. May have missed a few, but considering how they're all the rage now, a small-ish sample.

Eventually it has to? I think Spiderman in 2000 or one of those early ones really helped spark the cash cow formula that has resulted in so many made recently. Add in special effects, worldwide interest, connected story lines (therefore customers who want to keep up and watch the next) and it makes sense. I've heard some are really good....just wish I had some time to watch!

Look to your own theories about our Godless society on that one, I think. Super hero movies fill a part of that gap, in their own kinda way. Least, I think they do.

That and we were so bad at those kinds of movies for so long, I suppose.

                Please love yourself.

Westerns have. Look at the number made in the 40's and particularly in the 50's.
