Worst Pizza in the World

@Mik and the mushrooms look like they came out of a can.
The place downstairs does a good deep-dish pizza, but it is heavy to be sure. Eating half of a small pizza is a challenge.

Ugh. I have never been a big fan of pizza until I discovered Neapolitan style, then Detroit style (kind of like Chicago, but doesn't sit like a big rock in your stomach).
But that looks awful. And why the pepperoni?

Pizza is like another form of pie. There is good, better and best.
There is no bad.
Q: Why is pizza like sex?
A: Because when it's good, it's very good. And when it's bad, it's still pretty good.
That "pizza" in Denver was the exception.

I've never understood the point of deep-dish.
A good pizza needs to be quite thin, in my opinion. Too much stuff on it, especially too much cheese, ruins it.

I don't care for mushrooms but that slice just needs some good mozzarella melted on top and some red pepper flakes, and I would eat it. I am one of the least picky eaters you'd meet. Drives my wife crazy. For lunch today I'll be rolling up some deli turkey, wrap it in a slice of colby jack cheese, and dipping it into some mustard.

I am agnostic on that. I love a good thin-crust (that's what I usually have) and I see the crust as nothing more than a vehicle to convey the toppings. Lots of cheese, meats, veggies, etc.
A "pan" pizza, as depicted in those pictures, is not the same as "thick crust" which I rarely eat. Too much bread, too heavy, and bloat-inducing. The "pan" pizza is really a casserole on top of a bread crust.
