I’m expecting two more Frywalls tomorrow, one for 10” and one for 7.5”. Love em. Much easier than cleaning up spatter

Great minds. I too am ordering new kitchen things. A pastry brush -- made of silicon! I'm movin' on up! And a beautiful teal color. Also a new knife sharpener, same like the old one, an Accusharp. And a new smoke alarm because my old one broke bad and shrilled for NO GOOD REASON even after I cleaned its stupid face. And 9-volt batteries for same.

Best for last, a diffuser for essential oils, and a sixpack of same: Sweet Dreams (frankencense, mayflower, sweet orange and lavender); Happy (clary sage, honeysuckle, chrysanthemum, kumquat); Immunity (ginger, rose, white tea, geranium); Calm Mind (jasmine, kumquat, peppermint, spearmint): Relax (blue campanula, chamomile, mangosteen, sandalwood), and Air Freshening (ylang-ylang, cherry blossom, sweet orange, peppermint).

This is a new thing for me, that I've wanted to get into for a long time.

EDITED TO ADD: And a new water bottle. After lengthy agonizing, I settled on fuscia.

Success is measured by your discipline and inner peace. – Mike Ditka

Hadn’t heard of the frywall. Looks good. We have a metal mesh splatter guard we put on top of the skillet to do the same general thing, but the frywall allows you to still access the food while cooking so that’s a plus.

My wife also loved Bombas socks, which were a shark tank thing. But so was Ring, so I guess some things go big time!

Fun trivia. Maybe I mentioned it before.

After my MBA program a buddy and I took our invented idea and won a few business competitions with it, and actually got to round 4 of 6 of getting onto shark tank. We have passed initial screening, then phone interview, then packet for producers. Next round was a trip to LA for an in person pitch to be selected for the show.

However, my friend just had a baby, and my wife was pregnant, and we honestly didn’t have the time to pursue that much further, so we scuttled the whole thing. Never even told the shark tank producer we were working with, we just closed up show and disconnected everything lol. Oh well, what could have been…

@Horace in short, it was a keychain fob (Bluetooth low energy) you could attach to your kid’s backpack or keys, that would alert you when they arrived home (or left home) using a smart home hub as the central proximity point. The parent could configure the radius from the hub…10 meters or 100. Whatever.

You could also get an alert if wandering grandpa or even your dog leaves the house unexpectedly. The differentiators from alternatives on the market were that it did not require a smartphone, or GPS, or cell signal, or location tracking information for privacy. Just a simple, passive, “proximity alert” system without all fuss. Mainly for working parents who wanted to be notified when their kid came home from school.

Cool. You know I predicted on the old board that you'd be rich someday. My prescience is amazing, but hey, if you just want to blow off all your opportunities, that's on you.

There was an article recently about Mark Cuban who said that with all of the businesses he invested in from the Shark Tank, he has mostly lost money. LOL
