London - that's that big city down south, right?

I have always been very good at coming to a new place, forming a map in my head and filling in. But I've been to a lot of places, so it would be natural. Now people have GPS, but I still do the same thing.

I enjoy that too. Normally I view the directions in Google Maps (just the overview of the route) so I have my bearings before any drive. The one city I had an issue with this was Rome (well, this was in 2005 before I had a smart phone or GPS). Never could get my bearings, it was weird.

Boston can be like that too, but I did not drive there very much. One night I met Quirt and Phibes at a pub for a few. It was raining when we left so Phibes was kind enough to give me a ride back to my hotel. It was pretty comical as he didn't know this particular part of downtown and I didn't know it as well as I thought.

You could place me in any part of Boston and guarantee that Iβd be hopelessly lost before Iβd driven a couple of blocks. The cityβs roads are nonsensical, and I have no sense of direction whatsoever.
