D4 dropped off G2 this morning.

Since she had a c-section last time, this was a scheduled delivery. Makes planning a lot easier to be sure.

G2 spent the day with us, and he'll spend the night. SIL will spend the night at the hospital with D4.

G2 has managed to cope with the separation...

Mrs. George has spent most of the day with G2. He'll be 4 in September...we're WAY too old for this shit. He's a really great kid, but, my GOD, the energy!

I don't know how we did it with four.

It's almost cute enough to make me start liking infants again.

                      Almost.

                            Thanks, all.

All newborns are beautiful - but not in the first 30 minutes after they're born. And not in the 18 months after that.

I've never, ever been comfortable with infants.. Gimme a 3 year old any day, and I'll be fine.

Think this has been posted before:

Q: What's the difference between an infant and a cat?

A: When you get tired of holding a cat, you can just drop it.

But the nice thing about them is you can put them somewhere and there they remain. One cannot make the same statement about a cat.
