Black. Woman. Timely. Knows how to present well on camera. Well spoken. Immediately gets the whole left vote, plus a good portion of female suburban voters. AFAIK no major scandals other than her real name was supposed to be Orpah but they had a typo on the birth certificate.

She has had her share of scandals
She has enough money, and the right identity, to make them go away
She is alternately fat and slim, to win the job she would have to stay somewhere near slim, she wouldn't like it

Why? Trump was a walking tanker spill of foul lipids and won the electoral college in 2016.
But to your point, 89, it’s a good question. If she announced interest tomorrow it would be a 9 on the political Richter scale. That’s a simple fact, regardless of how you or I might feel about it.
