Obviously I'm not American, but the phrase made me laugh my ass off for an extended period.
Lots of things that Americans say make me do this.
Some of you may find this hard to believe, but I'm not alone.

In fact, one poll shows 100% of respondents believe 97% of content on the Internet is errant bullshit. The N is one, namely my lovely self and administered by myself as well.

So the liberal world order he’s referring to isn’t as opposed to a conservative world order. It’s as opposed to dictators launching wars of empire at will.

I confess I also took it the wrong way -- and nodded along with your doubt that it was authentic. But I like the notion of people like him using terms in their proper context -- the more often, the better. The more it happens, the greater the support against misuse and miscommunication.

I'm sure if I Googled for hours, I could find a couple of examples of certain former Presidents and their spokespeople saying insanely stupid shit.

It's actually worse than that. he's still blaming high gas prices on Russia. It was over $4 a year before they invaded. Such bullshit, and his attitude is atrocious.

Oh, I think he was clear. I understood him perfectly well. I'd think a lot of other people did, too.
Any damn fool that strings that phrase together in an interview, and supposedly represents the Executive Branch in some capacity, should know better.

Yep. I think he was on it once. And that appears to be a grown woman with him (Melania).
