Hey Cats! Your AOC post of the day.

She's goofy!
But a typical politician.
First: avoid the question
Second: somehow (even if it has nothing to do with the question), try and move the topic to something you want to talk about. -
@taiwan_girl So true!
NEWS GUY: Congressman, how do you respond to the accusations against you concerning the alleged prostitute found in your office?
CONGRESSMAN: First of all, let me make one thing perfectly clear. I love America. These are sad times for my beloved country. It is with a full heart that I pledge my every resource toward leading America back into the sunshine of her greatness.

Actually I was expecting much worse in terms of dodging the question. The first part of her answer reasonably addressed it, though of course when she talks to her crowds about ‘defunding the police’ I’m sure she means much more than demilitarization. (See my ‘motte and bailey’ comment from before).
-
Did she do that?
-
Well yeah, I for one am not happy with the militarization of the police we’ve seen in the last 10-15 years.
If the call were ‘demilitarize the police’ I’d be on board.
I thought you meant she tied that directly to the Floyd case, which would be something to see.
-
And not one adult will take on AOC? Just toss softball questions and let her fumble around for an answer.
I think years ago, there used to be leadership, even in the media. Would Huntly-Brinkly (sp) have asked questions starting with, "Whaddaya think about..." ?
Now, there's no leadership to be found. Seattle is perhaps the best example.
Idiots on the Left, silence from the old men on the Right.
Except Ax. Ax should be a reporter, a journalist. Always questioning.
Good on you, Ax! They would all tremble before you!! -

So I painfully rewatched, her order of responses went like this:
Question:
Why defund the police when statistics show it helps reduce crime?Answer(s):
- Funds are being used for tanks and war-like weaponry.
- We can fund healthcare, housing, and education with savings from de-funding police.
- Why is the budget for police the #1 budget item, and greater than health care, housing, and youth combined. (I have not fact-checked that statistic, but I doubt it's accurate)
-
@89th yeah that’s what I remembered
