When I was a kid, I had absolutely crazy allergies.
(I've spoken to other people who had similar problems as kids, and so far, to a person, they all grew up in extremely clean households. I'm pretty convinced there's a correlation. Also, it used to be that long-hair cats could put me in the hospital. I live with three cats now. Haven't been allergic to cats at all, for years. I think there's something to this. Anyway...)
We lived out in the boonies, so once a week, every week, for months, my dad would drive my ass 90 minutes into town, to the doc's office, and I'd do the allergy shots thing: two in each arm. I didn't know how to take shots then, and so I'd always have massive bruises on my arm. Then we drove 90 minutes back. It absolutely sucked and I made that very well-known.
About a month into this, my dad had enough and made a deal with me: don't tell your mom about this, but look, if you can do this every week without being an ass about it for six months, we can do anything you want to do. You name it, we'll do it. Deal? What do you want to do?
Just that week I saw a preview for Excellent Adventure and said I wanted to go see it.
So, I held up my end of the bargain and we saw it.
Was precisely as excellent as advertised.
Bogus Journey was, conversely to the name, also excellent in its way.
I can't wait to see this shit.

Finally answering the question, what ever happened to Keanu Reeves?
He became a hit man.
Actually I like Keanu Reeves. he was in A Walk In The Clouds, which I liked and has probably the sexiest thing I have ever seen in a movie, the grape stomping scene.

I like Keanu too. He’s done some great work IMO.

Keanu Reeves John Wick movies are terrific.
The guy who taught Reeves tactical shooting is very good.
In the last Wick movie I saw, he managed to maintain a very high kills per minute rate for several minutes. I didn't count but I'd say he killed several dozen with close-range head-shots in just a couple minutes.

Those movies are what the Matrix were 20 years ago.
You know what else? Like the Bourne movies before them, they showcase Kali instead of Wushu, the old Hollywood standby. (The director and fight coordinator are/were both Inosanto students.)
I've very little understanding of Kali except to say that the empty-hand distance is the same as in Wing Chun, and the flow drills of the two are very compatible. And being a Philippines thing, it's historically taught with no ceremony or grandeur whatsoever: they're endlessly pragmatic folks, to the point where it's completely okay to drop some techniques or modify others depending on how you can make it work for you.
Lotta U.S. police training either features or outright nicks standard Kali techniques.
Very cool it keeps showing up in the movies these days. Guru Dan must be beside himself.
