You can't get through the first two sentences of a mainstream leftist's worldview without a testification that they're terrified of the other political side. When they talk amongst themselves, you can actually sense the competitive aspect of it - who's more terrified and emotionally fragile when it comes to politics? Those feelings are leftist bona fides.
