      👍 On the first paragraph of No. 1. The rest is a wandering, half-assed mishmash. Ain't nobody got time for that.

      @Catseye3 I agree with Catseye3. There is a lot of truth in the article, but when it is written so one sided, it makes me have less trust in the message.

            Well, excuse me very much for not dropping everything to wig out over some development of 90 years ago, from another country yet, and not even unique yet. What with everything going on in my own goddamn day, I've been a little distracted.

              @Jolly @Larry

              A couple of things from the article

              1. Victimization - as I said, I agree with Cats that this is a problem.

              2. Demonization - the article starts out by saying: "All — again, (SET ITAL)all(END ITAL) — whites are declared racist." ??????????

              Do some people believe this? Yes. Are some people racist against Asians? Yes.

              The author is making a blanket statement on the basis of a small number.

              1. Cause to believe in - I agree with this quote from the article - "But people need something to believe in." Absolutely 100% I agree with this. But to say that because less people are believing in Christianity, the world is falling apart. Somebody who tries to tell me that if I am not a Christian, then I am not a good person is just full of hooey! Religion is not always the answer. I am not sure, but I think that probably more wars have been fought in the name of religion than anything else.

              2. Lies - it is a typical response from either the left or right, that is something is said that you do not agree with, it is automatically said to be a lie. That is ridiculous on both sides.

              Anyway, not sure if any of the above makes sense.

              (Just want to add that while I do not agree with everybody's sayings here on this forum, I am glad that there are different viewpoints. I always learn something and sometimes change my mind! 😊 )

                  So if the USA do not follow this basic road to demise, then the USA is not a great country?

                      I'm not convinced that Rome or Britain followed the basic road described by Prager. Obviously, comparing the US to the British Empire wouldn't have the same clickbaitiness as mentioning the Nazis, but he wouldn't have self-Godwinned either.

                      I was only joking

                        It's the same path, only with slightly different road signs.

                          Just before the fall of Rome the Roman government had taken to driving a wagon through the city filled with money, and throwing money òut of the wagon to the citizens.

                          We now call it a stimulus.
