If I had pursued management (the only way to make more money short of entrepreneurship) in my career, I would have hit a hard stop if I’d refused to publicly endorse the woke intersectionality agenda.

They kept trying to make me a manager. I’m good at it but did not enjoy it. I can’t see doing something I disliked every day.

Another reason I left academia. Although I was in charge of day-to-day scheduling in the operating room, the guy who was the medical director was looking to leave that position and spend more time in the lab. I was on deck.

It is socially adaptive to be dumb enough to be a true believer in whatever ideas one's culture propagates. Otherwise you have to fake it, which most people do to some extent. But those who don't have to fake their solidarity with the indoctrinated masses, are at an advantage.
