I would guess some African thing.

That is so goofy that they are doing that. Africa is a big continent with many different cultures. Black people in the US (and around the world) are not all from the same place.

That is like they are wearing something Asian and claiming that it represents all asian people.

Was friends in college with a guy who had a lion skin and a spear in his dorm room. He had used the spear to kill the lion, but I guess that's something young Swahili men do. Or at least they did back then. He came to school in America on a Baptist Mission Board scholarship.

Frank thought most American blacks were nuts. All this opportunity, all this wealth and they constantly complained about being persecuted.

Don't know how Frank paid for medical school, but last I heard, he was working as a family practice guy in Houston...

If there was only a way we could have caught these sorts of people in the act of expressing their contempt for people they find to be beneath them. Like for instance if there had been a larger group of people who split up into two smaller groups, based on self-selection where one group is the folk who consider themselves superior thinkers and feelers, and the other group just wanted to be able to discuss anything without being interfered with by the self proclaimed superior thinkers and feelers.

      Education is extremely important.

This country has gone completely insane. Every day I wake up and see something even more ridiculous than the last. We've had bearded Incels, sorry I meant libertarians, carrying rifles into government buildings in protest at having to wear a mask, riots and looting in the name of freedom, now we've got what looks like a bunch of extras from Absolutely Fabulous asking people to vote for them.

                          I was only joking

I noticed that the right-leaning insane stuff you mentioned is fringe, while the left-leaning stuff is mainstream. If it's happening in the middle of our halls of power and acted out by the highest of high status folk, I think it qualifies as mainstream.

Repeating my post from elsewhere, specifically in response to Horace's of 9 hours ago and Phibes' just above:

"I wonder if we might validly find hope in the very flagrancy of all this. Surely the very over-the-topness of all that has occurred cannot sustain itself, and a big eyeblink must ensue where people regain their commonsense vision? Where they say, okay, wait a minute, let's take a breath here, dial back the sheer intensity.

How can this mad progression be sustained?"

"Peaceful protesters" attempt to burn down a church across the street from the White House, try to get onto the White House grounds. Capitol Police make the decision to move the destructive mob of "Peaceful protesters" back one block. After they've been moved back one block, Trump decides to walk to the church to show America that the police are able to keep things under control. The press jumps in and claims the "Peaceful protesters" were gassed and shot at with rubber bullets just so Trump could aggrandize himself with a photo op.

House democrats, from the safety of the Capitol, bring in lots of media to do a photo op showing them all kneeling. Not a damn one of them has done a damn thing to help end this mess, only finding every opportunity they can to take political advantage of the rioting, yet not one single word has been said calling them out for staging a photo op.

I just saw a video of a tractor trailer being forced to stop in the middle of the highway to avoid running over a few "peaceful protester". The MINUTE his truck stopped moving it was swarmed by literally hundreds of "Peaceful protesters" who covered every square inch of his truck and trailer like a swarm of ants, doing everything they could to damage the truck, and trying hard to drag the driver out of the truck so they could beat on him.

Obviously these "peaceful protesters don't have jobs or any other responsibilities to have the time to do this. It is time for the police to start killing them.
