Can I get rid of the Flashlight from the home screen? It often gets turned on accidently, wears down the battery. It's a feature that I no longer wish to have.

I like the locked/home screen customization. Makes it very similar to the Apple Watch customization.

The "undo send" of 15 minutes seems like an eternity. Normally it would be like 10 seconds. Editing is good, though.

Family shared library is nice. My wife and I often send pic/vids to each other even though I know we can upload to a shared album.

Will watch rest of video later. Appreciate the condensed version btw.

Does it keep changing backgrounds and presenters all the time because it was a condensed presentation, or is that just the thing now?

I felt it triggering my ADHD. It's horrendous to watch.

          I was only joking

I use the feature but would be happier if it wasn’t on the standby screen, too. The camera turns on by itself, too.

But speaking of the flashlight, try telling Siri “Lumos” then “Nox”. Kind of a cute little practical command…

It’s condensed, from 2 hours to 24 minutes. I like it because it saves time, like reading an abstract/summary instead of the full paper.

I don’t feel comfortable about handing an entire car’s instrument panel to CarPlay. Really don’t want to lose a basic instrument like the speedometer or the signal indicator or the cruise control stuff if the CarPlay ever gets a bug or crashes while the car is in traffic.

On a different topic, iPadOS looks more and more like Apple’s answer to merge “desktop/laptop” with “smartphone”.

A bit disappointed that Apple cannot start the new M2-based MacBook Air at $999 like when they launched the M1 Air, and the M2’s basic computing performance is only a fraction over M1 rather than a whole multiple over M1. I suppose that’s because the M1 is already working so well, and there are still good reasons to keep the entry-level M1 Air in the line up with $100 price reduction. It’s good to see MagSafe back with the M2 Air, however.

Being able to mark a text message as "unread" is great. It's how I handle my email inbox to remind me which conversations I still need to reply to, and have always wished I could do the same about a text. For example, my wife sent me a text about an Amazon product but I was rocking our 1 year old to sleep and I didn't want to forget about it later.

The car play thing looks slick, but.......isn't it like 5-10 years away before auto makers have the dashboard/screen hardware to do that? Otherwise, 99% of carplay cars will just have the center 6-8" screen that we see today. I wonder if this is a preview of a future AppleCar.

My son actually watched this in segments. He’s quite fascinated about new hardware and OSs.

Mine, too. He knows the name of all the graphics cards on the market etc.

I gave him a copy of this book, which is widely considered to be the best introduction to how computers work. I think so far he has spent at least 10 seconds on the book to look at the cover page. I count it as a success.

My favorite feature in my car is the HUD. It projects speed, speed limit, and if I engage the cars GPS, it'll project turn-by-turn directions as well.
