    Our neighborhood has a pretty active facebook page of folks offering things (usually for free) for other neighbors. We have received and donated items as well... nearly always some kids toy (like a tricycle or set of matchbox cars or puzzles). It's like freecycling on steroids and its great. Lucky.

    I could see if we participated in a group yard sale, I'd maybe pick like 10 things that I know would sell, because like you said, it's probably not worth all the trouble for all smaller/various things you have to prep and price.

        We ended up with about $500 if the one guy comes to buy my 20' extension ladder today. Not a bad day's work, but still lots of stuff to get rid of.

              I once told hubby, " We're not selling, we're buying ... space." He liked that concept alright.
