We're reaching phase II of reopening in Md despite rising numbers. I probably have a week or so left until the employment situation starts looking fun.

The curfew had to be lifted.
There's just not enough hours in the day for riots.

Interesting question as to whether rioting and destruction is worse economic damage than the curfew.

The curfew only effects restaurants and bars, which aren’t really open anyway. It was 11pm at first and they moved it to 8.

I doubt the curfew creates bars and restaurants out of thin air. That sounds like MMT mumbo jumbo to me.

Party Guests Won’t Talk After 9 Test Positive. Now They Face Subpoenas.
Rushing to contain a coronavirus cluster tied to a big party in a New York City suburb, officials turned to an unusual legal strategyhttps://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/01/nyregion/rockland-coronavirus-party.html
Party goers refused to talk to contact tracers, so NYC subpoena them.
Not an isolated incident and not limited to NY, I have read elsewhere that many people refuse to talk to contact tracers. This will delay or even reverse reopening for many places.

Lock 'em up
I'll bet some of them smoked cigarettes too
Secondhand smoke causes an estimated 41,000 deaths each year

You WILL submit to the power of the government. Fall in line like good little subjects and drink the koolaid. Resistance is futile...
