By "these protests" do you also mean the ones in Stuttgart today? And Sydney? And London? What are your opinions on those? How about everywhere else in the world where the worst didn't happen?

Fair, for context, I see the spectrum like this:

    • Looters (obv)
    • Rioters (obv)
    • Protesters Level 3 (claim they’re peaceful but don’t clear areas when asked then get mad when they are forced)
    • Protesters Level 2 (peaceful but with actual demands) <- where I see the folks in this clip
    • Protesters Level 1 (peaceful, mostly lemmings seeking catharsis, often driven by white guilt, following the latest outrage trend, includes most overseas events)

Certainly there’s overlap between each level.

You will never convince me that overseas demonstrations are spontaneous, unsponsored events.

It’s great for them when the US is in trouble, regardless. Always try and unseat or create trouble for #1, I don’t care who you are.

If you'd like, I can see your entries and double them with social media posts showing peaceful protests. Of course the bad shit is happening. But what I'm saying is that's not all that's going on. 89th's claim that these are all fringe radical lemmings is ridiculous.

Seriously, if you want examples just let me know how many you need to be convinced that peaceful protests are happening.

Tell that to the people who have died in the protests. Shucks, I'd like to see you convince that London cop who just played head tag with a lamp post.

                  @Aqua-Letifer

I would agree that 90% of the protests are peaceful, maybe even 95%.

It only takes 1% to ruin everything. A few weeks ago it was how just one person could infect 100. We were beat over the head with that. And then multiply that and suddenly we would be at crisis Covid levels again. And you get 2 for the price of one as the inner city economies get wiped out.

                  https://www.inquirer.com/news/nation-world/george-floyd-seattle-protesters-shooting-driver-20200608.html

An armed Honda Civic driver “barreled toward a crowd of protesters, shooting one person who apparently tried to stop him.”

How are the Honda Civic drivers going to outsmug the Subaru drivers now?

I don’t quite understand what the above disagreement is. Does anyone really doubt that the demonstrations are a mix of peaceful protestors, opportunistic proto-criminals, and malevolent ideologues?

My post was to Aqua's reply to @89th in which he implied that the protests in other cities where no violence occurred:

By "these protests" do you also mean the ones in Stuttgart today? And Sydney? And London? What are your opinions on those? How about everywhere else in the world where the worst didn't happen?

Simply pointing out that it did happen.
