      What social issues?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

"What makes people think they can just have a shootout on a public street or in an entertainment district, whether police are there or not?" Assistant Police Chief Nicole Waldner asked at a noon news conference.

Gee, I dunno. Probably just random crazy people.

First rule of culture and crime in the media: if the culture mostly votes Democrat, it receives no blame.

Actually "media" is not the right word to use here. This is popular culture. The assistant police chief is part of the culture that won't be assigning blame to any Democrat voting sub-cultures. And she is not the media. She is just a product of pop culture, who would not have her high status job if she didn't parrot pop cultural ideas about these sorts of things.

              Education is extremely important.

Law & order is going to be a good issue this fall.

The dems will try to turn law & order into a guns issue, which sort of works for shootings like these, but doesn't work for organized looting/shoplifting/rioting/protesting.

At the rate guns are selling, I'm not sure it's that great of an issue...
