      One thing that was really great - they had a drone up above the race so you could watch this horse come up through the pack in the last stretch. He was back at least 2/3 of the way and just turned it on. Very exciting race.

        I really shouldn't, but I will.

        Ever since we owned Gulliver, my thoughts on race horses has soured.

        These horses are trained to do one thing - run as fast as you can, and if the horse next to you is going faster, you push more.

        They are spooky, single-focused and frequently not well-treated.

        And, sadly, if they're not profitable, they're basically disposable.
