We watched E1 — starts off slow, not great writing, tries too hard to set the 60s vibe, but picks ups.

Puzo’s backstory is good, Juno Temple is fun to watch (though the American accent is a bit much), the mob action is well played, Coppola character is convincing… .

It’s Hollywood writing about Hollywood, kinda like LaLa Land without breaking into song and dance all the time.

Just watched E1. Agreed, it starts slow, but becomes pretty compelling. Critics hated it, but I expected that.
