Well that's what a headline writer at CNN seems to think.

    https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/29/investing/dow-stock-market-today/index.html

Nasdaq closes month near 14-year low as recession fears grow stronger
    By Nicole Goodkind, CNN Business
Updated 4:21 PM EDT, Fri April 29, 2022

I am told that headline writing is a different job than article writing. Their job is to generate clicks. Maybe the headline writer should adhere to reality just a little bit though?

In Biden's America, we're going to start cracking down on this sort of misinformation. CNN beware!!

I know, I know. It's not that simple.

But that's what Joe Six-pack (was that racist, by the way?) is seeing.

Aw, they caught their mistake, and reworded the headline.

Nasdaq wraps its worst month in nearly 14 years as recession fears grow stronger

I was at Nasdaq during the dot-com boom and bust. Saw it reach 3, 4, and 5k for the first time ever then go down to 1800 or so. Those were interesting times.

Can't time the market, but I'd have to imagine if we're still at this level (or below) in 6-12 months, it would be a good time to throw cash into the market and ratchet up the aggressiveness of 401k plans. Most recessions or crashes seem to rebound in 12-24 months. I'm on a 20+ year horizon though so maybe anytime now is "good timing".
