She is a really good witness. She answers the questions appropriately, and calls out mischaracterization by plaintiff's attorney. She shuts up when appropriate and lets the legal team fight it out. Under direct examination, she looks at the jury, explaining things. She's engaging and human, smiles.

Secondly, I am surprised that Depp hired her. She is a great witness, as I said, and she seems to hold up under cross very well. But, the fact that she is not board-certified, though not a direct problem with respect to her ability, does paint a bit of a negative picture to the jury ("Why aren't you board-certified? Did you fail the exams, or just couldn't be bothered?"). One of the finest surgeons I ever worked with (open heart) never got his boards. He'd never find a spot on a staff today.

A commentator on Rikeitas feed says that the trial should be decided by a mud-wrestling match between the psychologist and Heard.

I am not quite sure what you mean by “witness >> lawyer” in this instance. What do you think of the expert witness? What makes you arrive at the expression “witness >> lawyer”?The witness was significantly more physically attractive than the lawyer.

Bigotry against the physically attractive. Something with which I am unfortunately very familiar. The lawyer’s assumptions that Depp and the witness had a romantic relationship is no different than assumptions that people of color are criminals.
