Easter Plans

Easter egg hunt in the neighborhood yesterday, cold out (winter coats and hats). Today, basket of goodies for the kids this morning, cinnamon rolls and bacon for breakfast, in an hour my in-laws will arrive for a nice ham (etc) dinner around 3pm. No goldfish, no pool.

Spouse's sister controls Easter. We own Thanksgiving. All is being conducted at spouse's 94 year old father's house. Sadly, the main event will lack the adrenalin fueled excitement and drama of Aqua's festivities. I suspect Truman Capote would have felt at home in that atmosphere.

You would not believe the mental pic I have of your MIL.
lol honestly she's the one shaking her head here. Which, complete role reversal but there's enough nuts in the jar!
Get. Out. Of. Here.

Full moon I guess. Down is up, red is blue, nothing makes any sense.

It’s a very strange year for us…
Trade you.
I’m looking forward to this…
So far we have threats of physical violence unless the Lost Bag of Goldfish be returned, and people "getting locked out of my own house" because the door was locked and they didn't think to knock.
Today's Easter dish is clearly bananas.
Did they bring you back the Lost Bag of Goldfish? I like the capitalization, by the way… It adds relic status to a tasty snack…
Secrets and riddles surround the Lost Bag of Goldfish, and facts have become speculation as events recede to memory. Some say the Bag was last seen in the Durango, after its discovery at the Stop & Shop. But the old timers still maintain that there never was a Bag of Goldfish—a bauble chased by desperate fools and oh hell yes the Highwayman arrived!

So when this turned into a Hollywood Blockbuster, who will you cast as The Highwayman?

Zach Galifianakis. There could be none other.

Well, friend, after a truly stupefyin’ day, we wrapped it up. Wandered down the trail, toward the sunset as the man would say. Things seemed to have worked out okay for the Highwayman in the end. He got his belly full and his pants cleaned, and I think that’s about as good as anyone could have hoped for. It was a shame about the dogs puking up so much chocolate, and no one never saw hide nor hair of the Bag of Goldfish. Some things just weren’t meant to be understood in this lifetime, I s’pose. But, I do happen to know that the parking situation got worked out, and if you can keep a secret, I went ahead and took care of that aged cheese. I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I have, and I’ll gladly see you next time.
