I was surprised to learn a few years ago that Carter appointed Volcker.
Shouldn’t Carter get some of the credit for ending inflation because of this? I fee like I’m missing part of the story.

He does in many circles. Reagan also reappointed him and he gets credit in other circles.
Volcker gets credit in all knowledgeable circles.
