Only one way to find out. Apparently, it does not go 'bad' like molding or anything, but it can oxidize in the bag. Make a pot. Report back.

I would toss it once I saw the brand regardless of the expiration date.
Not quite true, if it weren’t expired I would drop it at the food bank
